CASA Book Club
Don't have time to attend CASA 201's? Did you know that we have book club at the CASA office? Book club can cover a portion of your 12 required annual credits and is a great idea if you are unable to attend 201s on Wednesday afternoons. All that is required is to fill out a short "book report" telling us why you did or did not enjoy the book, and how the information presented could help you in the work you do as a CASA/GAL and turn it into your staff supervisor.
The book choice for May is "One Kid at a Time" by Jake Dekker. “One Kid at a Time is the inspiring and instructive story of an 'existence proof' — a successful school whose existence proves that urban children can achieve at high levels if educators are given the license to implement what works and the latitude to jettison what doesn't.”
