Lincoln County:

Because of YOU...

...13 CASA Advocates served 33 children this year - ALL of them being new to the foster care system!

Your support enabled us train the first class of 13 CASA Advocates to meet the desperate need for advocacy in Lincoln County.

The number of abused and neglected children that enter foster care each year continues to rise. Your support enables CASA for Kids to recruit, train, and support volunteers from the community to become Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). CASA Advocates are the One Constant for the child during their time in foster care, advocating for their best interest both in and out of the courtroom until the child finds a safe, nurturing, and permanent home.

The CASA provides an unbiased, child focused report to the judge on a regular basis - making recommendations to the court based on their findings as to what would serve the child's best interests moving forward.

The CASA visits the child monthly/weekly, providing consistent support and becoming the expert on the child.

The CASA has a unique role in that they are able to provide a voice for the child through advocacy, help heal the hurt through relationship and constancy in their lives, and break the cycle of abuse and neglect in their lives by empowering them and equipping them with the skills they need to thrive outside of foster care.

Thank you for partnering with us to help end child abuse and neglect in our community - One Child at a Time.
